~~ Jaybee Calibre ~~

I will not change my horse…When I bestride him, I soar, I am a hawk. He trots the air, the earth sings when he touches it, the basest horn of his hoofs is more musical than the pipe of Hermes...
~ William Shakespeare ~

Calypso II Grundlage Wenzel I St. Pr. Settina Achen IMP Domedin Steel Blade xx Sundari xx

We purchased Calibre as a 6 month old colt from John and Bev Edwards of Jaybee Farm in 2000. We wanted a stallion that would breed quality Showjumping and Dressage horses and at the same time would produce stock horses for our cattle property.

We have never been disappointed with our choice.

Calibre combines the breeding of 2 very influential and successful breeding lines. Detailed history of the horses in his pedigree can be found below.

In training and competition he showed enormous potential as a Dressage and Eventing stallion. He is a very intelligent individual, making him charismatic and challenging. He is a gem to handle people often comment about how quiet he is around people and children. Unfortunately an injury to his neck has ended his competition career, (he suffers intermitted lameness) he is enjoying his early retirement in the paddock being fat and lazy!

Calibre produces horses with lovely trainable temperaments, natural loose swinging paces and athletic conformations. His progeny are suitable for competing in Showjumping, Dressage and Eventing.
